1. Would you work if you didn't have to? Why?
I would work if I didn’t have to because I like to keep myself busy. If I don’t have obligations to fill throughout the week I become bored easily.
2. In what kinds of work situations would you work harder than you ordinarily do?
I work hard in all work that I do. If what I am doing is something I am passionate about or expected to do, I enjoy giving it my full effort.
3. Are there situations where you would work for less than normal pay? What would be the compensating rewards?
There are situations where I would work for less than normal pay. There are many opportunities in the world to help people facing many different circumstances. I enjoy giving my time to help others even if I am working for less than normal wages or no wages at all.
4. If you could use your work to indulge in your favorite form of play, what would you be doing?
If I could use my work to indulge in my favorite form of play I would coach. I love to play/work with a team and I would also love to help lead younger people.
5. What activities do you pursue when you have completely free time with no obligations?
When I have free time with no obligations I like to spend time with my family and watch and discuss sporting news.
6. If you were free to schedule your working time any way you like within a 7 day \ week, what would your calendar look like?
I would like a work schedule that isn’t the traditional 9-5 style. I like my work to have variety that allows for different weekly schedules.

People who work with me think that I am a team player who is willing to do whatever needs to be done to achieve the end goal, a quick and eager learner, and a leader.

9. Are these top priorities reflected in your current work?
Currently as a licensed baseball umpire I have job security as long as I follow all officiating rules and continue to renew my license. I am also able to be independent to an extent as an umpire as I can choose where and when I schedule games.
10. What conflicts or discrepancies do you see between your values and your work?
My current work is part time and will not allow me to make enough money to support a family later in life. The education I am getting at Ball State University will help me get a desirable job.
